Wheels School ("we", "our", or "us") provides school transportation management through two mobile applications: Wheels Parent and Wheels Crew.

This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. Each app collects different data based on its purpose—please read the section relevant to the app you use.

What We Collect

What We Don't Collect

We do not track your personal location. We do not access your contacts, camera, or any other data on your phone beyond what's listed above.

Who Sees Your Data

Your child's school — can view trip records and your contact details
Van staff — can see your child's name and photo for verification

We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or any third parties.

What We Collect

Location Tracking Details

The app tracks your location only during active trips. When you end a trip, location tracking stops. We do not track your location outside of work hours or when the app is closed.

Location data is used to:

Show parents real-time van position on the map
Calculate estimated arrival times for each stop
Maintain trip records for school administration

Who Sees Your Data

Parents — can see van location during their child's active trip only
School administration — can view trip history and activity logs

We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or any third parties.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on servers located in Mumbai, India. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.

Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate our apps:

Google Sign-In — for secure authentication
Firebase Cloud Messaging — to deliver push notifications

These services have their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data required for them to function.

Data Retention

We retain trip data and activity logs until the end of the school year. After the school year ends, historical trip data is deleted. Your account information is retained until you request deletion.

You have the right to:

Request a copy of your data
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and data
