Q What is Wheels?

Wheels is a school transport management system with two apps: Wheels Parent for parents to track their child's school van in real-time, and Wheels Crew for drivers and attendants to manage routes and pickups. Our goal is to eliminate the "where's the van?" anxiety and ensure smooth school transport operations.

Q How do I get started with Wheels?

Wheels is currently available to schools enrolled in our pilot program. If your school uses Wheels, you'll receive an invitation with setup instructions. If you're a school administrator interested in Wheels, join our waitlist to get early access.

Q Is Wheels free to use?

Wheels is free for schools participating in our field trials. We're working on pricing plans for the official launchβ€”pilot schools will receive special benefits.

For parents tracking their child's van
Q How do I track my child's van?

Once logged in, you'll see your child's assigned route on the home screen. When the trip is active, you'll see the van's real-time location on the map along with the estimated arrival time. You'll also receive automatic notifications like "Van is 5 minutes away" and "Your child is safely on board."

Q Why am I not receiving notifications?

Make sure notifications are enabled for Wheels Parent in your phone's settings. On iPhone: Settings β†’ Wheels Parent β†’ Notifications β†’ Allow Notifications. On Android: Settings β†’ Apps β†’ Wheels Parent β†’ Notifications β†’ Enable. If issues persist, try logging out and back in.

Q How do I mark my child as absent?

Open the app, go to your child's profile or the trip screen, and tap "Mark Absent" before the scheduled pickup time. The driver and school will be automatically notified so they don't wait at your stop.

Q Can I add multiple children?

Yes! If you have multiple children using the school transport, you can add each of them to your account. You'll be able to track each child's van separately and receive individual notifications for each.

For drivers and attendants
Q How do I start a trip?

Open Wheels Crew and you'll see your assigned route for the day. Tap "Start Trip" when you begin. The app will guide you through each stop with turn-by-turn directions, student photos, and pickup details. Mark each student as "On board" or "Dropped off" as you complete stops.

Q Does the app track my location all the time?

No. Location tracking is only active during trips. When you end a trip, location tracking stops immediately. We do not track your location outside of work hours or when the app is closed. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Q I'm a substitute driver. How do I use the app on a new route?

That's exactly what Wheels is built for! Once your school admin assigns you to a route, you'll see all stops, student photos, and turn-by-turn navigation in the app. The route lives in the app, not in anyone's headβ€”so you can drive confidently even on day one.

Q What if I have GPS issues during a trip?

If GPS signal is weak, the app will continue to work with the last known location and show a "Location updating" message to parents. Make sure location permissions are set to "Always" for the app, and try moving to an area with better signal if possible.

Q How do I delete my account?

You can request account deletion by emailing us at amal.chandran.op@gmail.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request - Wheels". Include your full name, email, and school name. We'll process your request within 7 business days. See our Account Deletion page for full details.

Q How is my data protected?

Your data is stored securely on servers in Mumbai, India with industry-standard encryption. We only collect data necessary for the app to function, and we never sell or share your data with advertisers. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.

Q Can I request a copy of my data?
